in which heaven, hell, and earth exist with a dynamic similar to that of rival countries.
heaven is split into four “sectors,” north, west, east, south. the east sector is the most politically correct part of heaven.
heaven brandishes itself as a peaceful sanctuary when in reality quality of life is extremely unfulfilling. due to the way they market themselves, hell is set on the idea of heaven opening its gates. heaven despises hell, and this conflict leads to heavens militarization.
unbeknownst to hell, heaven has an extreme social hierachy. the personelle that are chosen for ENVY, an angelic protection division, are specifically picked based off of their place in this hierarchy. due to this, most angels who have military involvement are egotistical and competitive.
angels are divided into three different classes: seraphim, archangels, cherubs, and guardians. each angelic class serves a specific purpose.

seraphim must uphold heaven's principles, regulations, and standards. they're commonly seen being “managed” by gods. seraphim mentor archangels, and if part of a military division, are always high ranked.
archangels have no purpose other than to serve those around them. due to this, they make up the vast majority of heaven's militants. most dislike the existence given to them, and can be bitter, sarcastic and disrespectful because of it.
cherubs are responsible for containing confidential knowledge regarding heaven’s negative societal norms. they are largely the reason why heaven is perceived as perfect. they also prevent earth from knowing of heaven's existence.
gaurdian angels protect humans and are disrespected because of their physical involvement with earth. they are usually mute. surprisingly, they are the only angel rank with the ability to travel to earth without permission.
ENVY is a special task force funded by the god of war. it is the most prestigious and important military operation within heaven. only the best can make it into envy, and they have a strict archangel and seraphim only policy.
whenever ENVY is not in active deployment (which is most of the time), they are stationed to guard heaven's gates, usually the east gates. theres around 160 members and 5 different divisions. each division is managed under a seraphim captain. division 1 is the most dangerous and respected.
gods are based off of “the aspects of humanity.” anything that is a particular feature of human life, there is a god for. gods hide themselves and communicate to society through their designated seraphim.
